This course is a continuation of the defensive rifle course. In this course, students will learn shooting while moving, shooting around barricades, support hand/shoulder shooting, transition from rifle to handgun, and more.
*Students attending this course must have already completed the Gravitas Protection Group Defensive Rifle and Defensive Pistol courses* No Green Tip, penetrator, tracer, or armor-piercing ammunition!
8 hour course.
Teaching Objectives:
- Shooting while moving
- Shooting around barricades
- Rapid target acquisition and transition while moving
- Transition from rifle to handgun
- One-handed defensive rifle manipulation techniques
- Recoil control techniques in adverse shooting positions
- Support hand/shoulder shooting
Required Equipment:
- Rifle (semi-automatic, auto-loading. No lever action, bolt action, or pump action rifles.)
- Pistol (this course is not designed or compatible with revolvers)
- 500 rounds of rifle ammunition. (No green tip, penetrator, tracer, or armor-piercing ammunition allowed)
- 100 rounds of pistol ammunition.
- 3x rifle magazines
- 3x pistol magazines
- This course is structured around 15 round magazines, if your magazines don’t hold at least 15 rounds, please bring enough magazines to have at least 45 rounds loaded at one time.
- Holster (Outside the Waist Band Only)
- Rifle Sling
- 1 magazine holder
- 2 pistol magazine holders
- Eye protection
- Ear protection (electronic preferred but not required)
- Outdoor/Hiking shoes
- Sturdy belt capable of holding pistol magazine holders and holster.
- Pants or shorts with belt loops.
- Lunch, snacks, and water.
