This course introduces shooters to the fundamentals of defensive handgun manipulation and marksmanship. There are no prerequisite requirements for this course, however, students should know how to safely handle and operate their firearm before arriving. This is not intended to be a first-shots course for brand-new shooters.
8 hour course.
This course runs all day with only a small break for lunch, please be sure to bring food.
Required Equipment:
- Autoloading pistol (this course is not designed for, or compatible with, revolvers)
- 500 rounds of pistol ammunition
- Holster (Outside the Waist Band Only)
- 3 magazines (course is structured around 15 round magazines, if your magazines don’t hold at least 15 rounds, please bring enough magazines to have at least 45 rounds loaded at one time)
- 2 magazine holders
- Eye protection
- Ear protection (electronic preferred but not required)
- Close-toed shoes
- Sturdy belt capable of holding pistol magazine holders and holster.
- Pants or shorts with belt loops.
- Lunch, snacks, and water.
