IED Impedance to Clearance (2-Day)

This course is designed to instruct students performing building clearance operations on how to detect, avoid, and respond to IED impedances.

This course is delivered in person, in a classroom setting. Students will handle and interact with inert (safe) IED training aids to enhance realism. This course is only available for first responders, licensed security professionals, and military members (active or reservists).

This course is designed to teach new and seasoned drone pilots how to conduct tactical building clearance/searching operations with drones. This course is also highly encouraged for tactical team leaders, regardless of their drone flying experience. Students will learn how to deploy a team of drones to conduct both deliberate and time-sensitive building clearance operations. Students will learn advanced building clearance techniques designed to increase officer and suspect safety. Students will also learn multiple tactical integration models, allowing greater operational flexibility across multiple team models. ** This is not a Part 107 Course. Students do not need to be Part 107 in order to attend this course. Students do not need to have Close Quarters Clearance experience, although it is preferred. This course can accommodate new drone pilots; however, it is recommended that students attend our Drone Pilot Skills Development Course before attending, so that they possess a greater level of piloting confidence.**
